Go Home Everyone Else, Copa Libertadores Quarterfinal Has Produced The Goal Of The Year

Brazil is conquering South America at the moment.

Matías Zaracho and Atletico Mineiro booted River Plate out of the Copa Libertadores in style Wednesday night. This Zaracho goal vs. River Plate was the opening strike of the game and is one of the best seen in 2021 so far.

A silky move from Hulk, the Chinese Super League legend, gave him space to cross it in toward Zaracho, who pulled off one of the most amazing goals ever seen.

This goal was so good that you need to hear as many different announcers’ reactions as possible to fully appreciate it.

Zaracho wasn’t done on the night and netted his second goal to ensure his side a spot in the Copa Libertadores semifinals.

Brazil is making history in this year’s tournament with three clubs through to the semis already. If Fluminense defeats Ecuadorian side Barcelona SC on Thursday, then all four semifinalists will be Brazilian clubs.

Atletico Mineiro, Palmeiras and Flamengo are all through to the semifinals. The next stage of the Copa Libertadores will be played on Sept. 22.
